AD Inherit Permissions attribute being reset

M

Mac Sobolewski

All,

I've been experiencing this problem in AD for quite some
time and I can't get to the bottom of it. The problem is
that objects within my active directory loose
the "Inherit permissions" checkbox which means that the
authority that I have delegated to my Service Desk is not
being applied. This appears to be a very random
occurence but it is becoming very annoying and I can't
track it down. I need a tool / script that will go
through my AD ( 4800 users, 5000+ computer accounts, over
200 OU's ) and check that the inherit permissions
attribute is checked.

Any and all help greatly appreciated.

I've seen this occur as a result of the adminsdholder. The article below
may help.
