Ad.exe error, 0x74706b41 memory cannot be read (XP Home)

On my Emachine running XP Home, my wife continually gets a pop-up error message stating in the header something like - Ad.exe Cicero Unwnd (i don't have the error message in front of me -sorry) And in the body it says 0x74706b41 referenced memory could not be read.
This seems to only happen when she is online using IExplorer and several pop-up ads are continually popping up as well even with the Google blocker
I have seen references to an XP problem but no solution posted

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like spyware or a home page hijacker.

You have picked up some nasty Spyware from Spiel causing this annoyance. To get rid of it you'll have to download a small program called Spybot - Search & Destkroy or download Ad-Ware. I recommend Spybot, it is excellent. Go here

It seems odd to me that it only happens when my wife is signed in as the user and not when I am... Any additional thoughts
