Lavasoft closed their forums. Geeks to Go is now hosting a Lavasoft
support forum.

install and is still free for personal use.

The SE Pro version is not free. The upgrade cannot be downloaded with out a
key

Are you saying then that the Pro version that you paid for and have a key
for cannot be used to insall the upgrade if so then I'm sorry I
misunderstood.

Usually when notice is given on the ng's about upgrades the majority of
people are happy to be told and have the free version installed so have no
problems with it. I know there are those that have paid to have the Pro
version so I don't know what the procedure for upgrading that is.

I purchased Ad-Aware 6, and ever since then I've been getting every version
for free.

Did you try the upgrade from within the program, this morning I went to
run the old version from another machine was informed about the new
version clicked the link to be taken to the page and there are clear
instructions there to follow if you have the paid version. Did you follow
them ?
Here we all use the free one so just scrolled down to get to the download
for it.

I used Windows XP's Add/Remove and it automatically went to AdAware's
uninstall which did a clean uninstall. I then installed the new one and
it seems OK, although I haven't run it yet.

I just ran the program and no problems. I notice that now it scans all
partitions, not just the C drive.

I just do it from the setup when it finds the older version and offers to
uninstall. Haven't had any problems with doing it that way.

You have the option to designate what drives you wish scanned.
