Ad-Aware SE won't download

I forget about Run commands to earlier posts.

Open a word, notepad file or Excel sheet and write down
your RUN commands.
Then you can copy/paste your commands if you loose them.

What specific commands are you using ?

Great--I don't know the specifics on the remaining issue you mention, I'm
afraid.

We rescanned using Housecall this a.m. and 19 threats
were detected and 19 were removed. We rescanned several
times trying to get rid of "ADW TREBATES" but it keeps
coming back. Don't know what harm it can do or why
Housecall can't remove it. We selected the Security scan
because we have scanned for virus many times with many
products. We will try downloading and running Ad-Aware
next and go from there. Thanks Stan H.

I'am using Run to launch URLs. Some are very long and
hard to remember. Thanks Stan H.

This is an issue I don't know the fix for. It sounds as though file
associations in the registry have been messed up. You need an expert in the
Windows shell.

You could post in the public newsgroups, but I should have thought of this
sooner--why not call Microsoft's free Product Support Services (PSS) support
for issues involving virus removal or security patches?

In the U.S. or Canada, call 1-866-pcsafety.

In other parts of the world, call the local Microsoft subsidiary--the call
may not be toll free, but the help will be free.

Your problem arises from removing viruses and spyware, and you've been doing
it using standard tools and procedures, and still have an issue--let's get
an expert on the line and get this fixed without more delay.
