ActiveX error

I received the following error message. I have not found
the remedy online. can you assist me?

"Your current settings prohibit running ActiveX controls
on this page. As a result, the page may not display
correctly."

I have Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633
on a Windows XP system
I have all updates installed.
I run Sun Java(TM) Plug-in: Version 1.4.2_05
Using JRE version 1.4.2_05 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
