Activesynch from Samsung Omnia

Hi there,

I have a Samsung Omnia that runs Windows. My PC is running XP with the
latest patches, etc. The problem I am having is that only about 1 time in 3
can my phone synchronize with my PC without a problem. And the big problem is
that, these other 2 out of 3 times, I lose all of the changes I made on my
phone since my last synch.

The error message taht sit of my phone after these unsuccessful attempts is:

"Result:
There has been a change made on your server that requires you to
re-synchronize all items on your device. Please perform a manual synch.

Support code: 0x80883001"

It then lists the last time I synchronized as the same time I last attenpted
to synchronize, whether or not that synchronization was successful or even
actually started.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

you'll probably want to check in forums that support active sync, windows
mobile or your phone - this has nothing to do with outlook.

Is this phone a Windows Mobile device? What version of ActiveSync? Have you
asked in microsoft.public.pocketpc.activesync? What version of Outlook? What
type of data store are you using (PST or Exchange mailbox)? Are you synching
with Outlook or with the server? Back up your Outlook data. If your phone
has an on-board backup app, use that as well. Delete the partnership with the
device and recreate it.
