ActiveSync and Outlook 2003 Error

I have a customer with an a Pocket PC and ActiveSync on a Windows 2000
Notebook. After Upgrading to Office 2003, ActiveSync stopped working. We
upgraded him to ActiveSync 3.8 and ActiveSync stated working again, but
Outlook crashed several times a day. I installed the Hotfix from KB892057.
Outlook stopped crashing, but ActiveSync doesn't work anymore. It gives the
generic "..server is busy..switch to..." dialog box.
