Active X Security Settings Message

At several internet web pages especially ebay, I'm now getting the following message popping up on my screen "Your current security settings prohibit you from running Active X controls on this page. As a result the page will not display properly." Can you tell me what I need to do to allow the pages to display properly again so I won't continue getting this message? This appears to have started after downloading the current updates from Microsoft on 7/14/04. I'm running IE 6 and have never had this issue before now. Any help would be provided. Dell didn't seem to have the answers and the Microsoft web page I was directed too, looked to not specifically address the issue.
Thanks

I also Need help in activation of ActiveX, all tests indicate that my
activex is
not running. All known firewalls, AV and blockers have been disabled, All
IE6 settings on security and privacy set to low, and everything is set to
enable. Uninstall and reinstalled IE6 and updates. Any suggestions on how to
reactivate ActiveX in IE6?
Additional information, Windows XP and all current fixes available from MS

Thanks Harry but it didn't fix the problem. Very frustrated. Old
Windows98/IE6 runs find but WindowsXP/IE6 won't run.

Those are putting in a quick fix to combat a very nasty virus attack
that might result in sites getting contaminated and downloading data
logging stuff unbeknown to them or you. These could then do things like
logging keystrokes if you connect to a Bank/Paypal or the like, and
report your details to a criminal site.

So the fix stops your running possibly dangerous scripts: the method,
if you connect to a site you think you can trust to keep clean, is to go
to Internet Options - Security, Highlight Trusted Sites and click the
Sites button to add the site to it - eg as http://*.ebay.com
You will need to uncheck the box about Server confirmation at the
bottom. And then be *very* careful about links purporting to be
across to eBay. It is better to copy the URL by hand into the address
box. You might like to get a tool at www.corestreet.com/spoofstick/
that will help warn you.
