Subject: Active window

While using any window including I.E. the window will be
active and I can type something and in the middle of
typing the window will become not active and if you wait
a minute or will be active again or will become active if
you click on it again. Any suggestions as to what may
cause this? I have run NAV and several Spyware programs
extensively without resolving the problem.
Thanks...

Neal,

This is a long shot, but I have seen this personally on laptops that have
built in wireless capabilities. Mainly on Panasonic laptops. If the
internal wireless card is activated and not affiliated with an access point
it will periodically poll for an access point. During this time the focus
is taken off of the window you are working in and the processor utilization
goes very high. If you have wireless capabilities, try turning off the
wireless card and see if it the problem goes away.

Best regards,
Blane Clark
