Recently, on some sites, my IE has been scrolling extremely slow. After
applying a few updates to my pc (video drivers, etc) I was still having
the problem. I finally found a solution through E-Bay's support (their
"My eBay" page was one of the pages that was now scrolling slow).
According to them, it has to do with Active Scripting. If I turn off
Active Scripting in Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Custom
Level everything starts scrolling again at the normal speed. However,
now there are a couple sites I cannot view until I turn Active Scripting
back on and some sites load differently without it (eBay item view pages
get redirected without Active Scripting). Its kinda a pain to have to
keep turning it on and off for just a few sites. I've looked through
the Microsoft support site and I can't really find any information on
this. Is there any way around this (patch, etc) or am I just stuck
doing it this way? Is this a problem with the scripts on these sites or
is this a problem with IE6? Will Microsoft ever be able to fix this?
