Active Directory

Hello,

I jumped on the admin box to our 2k servers today to make
a change to the Active Directory. I recieved a
message "naming info cannot be located logon attempt
failed domain is not properly configured and currently not
online.

We havent changed anything and people are able to access
the domain and send/receive mail.

What would the problem be and how would I fix this.

Sounds like a DNS problem, check your DNS configuration.

I had this once after we were hacked into and the admin
user accounts were deleted from the registry. There was
no domain listing in AD for our domain. There is a fix, i
can't remember what it was since i do not have the event
id error, but you can find it via that.

I will continue to look for it when i have some time today.
