active directory lost?

Whenever I try to access mmc console from any location (
control panel, saved mmc's) it informs me that their is no
domain or that it cannot find the name space. The server
has been running fine for mounths. The three computers can
log on to the server and run network apps. Help.

Right mouse click the top of the hierarchy and choose connect to
domain.Checck mark the option to save this domain setting. This can also be
a result of change in your DNS settings or the updates to your DNS server.
In the DNS server console, be sure that you have update dynamically
enabled.You may also want to scavenge stale resource records. Almost all the
time, when there is a problem finding the domain or the server etc. in Win2K
environment, it is a DNS problem.
