Active Directory Integrated

I want to make my DNS active directory integrated, at
this point we still have some subsidiary sites on our
Domain with DNS on Windows NT servers that are not on the
Domain. We are in the progress of updating their DNS and
giving this sites their own DC's and they will have DNS
on those, but until then, what will happen if I change
the Primary DNS to active directory integrated. Will the
DNS that are not on the Domain continue to function in a
secondary role? Should I just wait until all of our DNS
servers are on the Domain.

Yes setup your DNS Server on your PDC as Active Directory
intergrated as this will enable you to authenticate to
your domain on your local Lan. Then you can create
secondary zones to publish non-active directory sites
which would point to your internal server that host those
sites. Remember that if your using your internal DNS
Server to Resolve external sites that you will need to
use a forwader to resolve these names.

In our setup we used a secondary dns Server on a BDC to
resolve external dns names as per the above.
