Active Desktop

I can't disable active desktop. Right-click on desktop...no active desktop
option. Control panel/Folders...nothing ckecked off, only My Home Page is on
the list.
Everything worked until I upgraded to Media Player 10, just coincidence or
possible cause? Thank you.

Open Regedit (Start > Run) and go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

and look for a value called: NoActiveDesktop

If it exists, its value is likely 01 00 00 00 or just 1
You can right-click where it says NoActiveDesktop and select Modify to
change this value to a 0 (zero) or 00 00 00 00
Alternatively, you can also just select Delete.

The key mentioned above can also exist in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

HTH :)
