Active Desktop will not allow web content (Post2)

My question is on Global policy settings. I've enabled
active desktop, enabled desktop wallpaper with a path to
our intranet site. My intention is to have it as the
ACTIVE desktop for all users. It displays correctly, the
java script to run menus operates correctly, but no
active links work. How can I get them to operate as
active web content? Its running on Win2003 Srvr and
workstations are XP Pro and 2000 Pro.

Hello,

Thank you for your post.

Could you let me know how you enabled the group policy? Please also help
collect the following information:

1. Instead of the intranet site, please another public website, for
example, www.microsoft.com, and see if it works.

2. Please go to one client, right-click the blank area on the desktop,
choose Properties, enable Active Desktop and set web page content to
display your intranet web site. Does it work correctly?

3. You stated that "the java script to run menus operates correctly, but no
active links work". Can you provide more information about the symptoms? If
possible, please post a screen shot. Any information will help me better
understand your issue.

I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks!

Regards,
Joe Wu
