Active Desktop Resets w/ Screensaver

Hi All:

I run a Java Applet on my users desktop that Authenticates
them with our firewall. This worked fine in Win 2000 Pro,
but now we have moved to XP Pro and everytime the
screensaver kicks on the active desktop resets and the
java applet resets and my users lose their authentication.
This has become a real annoyance, does anybody have any
advice or a work around for the applet?

Well since this is a Windows 2000 newsgroup, the choices would be to
re-install Windows 2000, :-) OR post the question to a Windows XP
newsgroup.
