I got he latest security updates from Early May 2007.
Then after reboot I just have that white desktop with a button to restore
active desktop.
After pressing for active desktop recovery I get:

Internet Explorer script error
An error occurred in script on this page
Line 67
Error object doesn't support this action
Code 0
URL
File:///c:/Documents%20and%20setting/owner/application%20data/Microsoft/Internet %20Explorere/desktop.htt
Want to continue running scripts on this page?

Push YES and nothing happens.

SO I had to use system restore.

How do I fix this problem after updating?

The update did not disallow my active desktop. You probably have some
instruction in you desktop.htt file (on line 67) that does something your
security settings do not allow

see:
IE, tools, options, Security tab, "Custom Level" button, <activeX settings.>

You might try resetting the web pag to none, then resync the page you want
on the desk.

I don't understand the above line.

My security settings were to disable scriplets, unused acive x controls and
almost all others were disabled.

Does Active Desktop relate to Active X Controls?

You set the active desktop page with the Control Panel/Dispaly app. Desktop
tab, "Customize Desktop" button, Web tab. Turn it off and on.
