Activation status - pending

Hi
Don't know if this is being looked into just yet, but
would like to know why the following appears "normal" in
XPP:
Logged in as admin - view system information and it looks
normal

On the same PC with XPP - created standard user account
(not admin) - view system information and it shows
an "Activation Pending (30 days remaining)"

It does not count down, so it's purely cosmetic, but I
would like to know how to get rid of it. System is XP SP1
(all applicable hotfixes). This does not seem to be the
case on XP SP2.

Any advice appreciated.

That would of course be the easy way out, but while our
business are still UAT'ing SP2, the status is still there.
Is there any other way?
