Activation says ok, but keeps counting days

I installed my OEM copy of XP Home on my system with a new
hard drive. It now shows me the key, and says click to
activate, and shows x # days left, but when I click to
activate, it says it has already been activated, and press
ok. What am I doing wrong? In the install, it did not
give me the ability to enter my cd key, but put that in
for me.

Mine did the same thing...I let the timer run out and it
never bothered me again. Did you register your product
yet?

It should, i have used it on a couple systems and It did.
