Activation question.

My company recently acquired another. I am inventoring the machines with
MSINFO32 and on most of them it says:

"Activiation Pending 30 days remaining." I run "oobe /msoobe /a" and it says
it is already acitviated.

Sometimes MSINFO32 does not report it is pending.

What gives? How do I tell that it is actually activated? It seems it has
stayed stuck at 30 days too. Never goes down.

Try repairing the registry entries used by the activation .dll files:

Use Start- Run and enter the following text in the dialog box:
regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll

Then do it again with the following text:
regsvr32.exe licdll.dll

If the problem persists then on one machine try first backing up and
then deleting the activation control files -
c:\windows\system32\wpa.dat and wpa.bak. Then reboot that computer
and see what happens with the activation.

You should be prepared for the possibility that someone has played
"fun and games" with the activation on these machines and it may even
turn out that you need all new licenses for them.
