ACTIVATION PROBS

Please help. Under advice from my computer guy at the
shop where I bought my OEM Windows XP Pro, I had re-
installed my copy on my computer in hopes that it would
stop it from hanging.I had already activated it after the
first installation but now it's asking me to activate it
again. After doing so it came back with a message stating
that I had exceeded the valid number of installation for
my product i.d. - I'm worried now that my system will
lock up. Is there something I can do? Get a key -code
from Microsoft or something? Please help. Thanks
