Activation Looping

When XP starts I get a message that I need to activate this copy before I can
run windows. Click yes to activate and no to skip. Clicking yes takes me to
the log in screen and the the must activate message pops up again and the
whole process begins again. Clicking no basically does the same thing. I can
not run safe mode or any windows application.

I have tried to do a repair using my XP CD and it takes forever to go
through that process. During repair I get a system32 error and also get "can
not write sensapi.dll then can not write sethc.exe. Before the repair
completes I get the blue screen of death.

I am stuck. I have been through the above processes several times with the
same results. I have lots of pictures etc... that I will loose if I format
and do clean install. Anyone have suggestions that may prevent a format???

Mc I had the same thing happen to me a while back. What I did was: Clicked on
activate windows. Activate by telephone. The support guy I spoke to was
amazed to here what was happening. We activated it together and everythiing
was fine afterwards.

Funny to see I am not the only one. Hope this helps.
