WXP Re-activation problem...

I have added a new HD last week. Last friday when booting my PC I receive a
message, that Windows needs to be reactivated, I have 3 days left to do so.
OK, noprob, I click YES, starting-up continues and I receive a screen telling
me Windows is already activated.
So every time I rebooted I go through this process. This morning the 3 days
have passed and I end up in the logon screen after the question: do I wish to
reactivate? I choose yes, booting goes on and again the screen telling me
Windows is already activated. And I return to the logon screen...
No matter what I do, I cannot login: choosing yes when asked to reactivate
results in a screen telling me it is already activated and back to the
loginscreen. Understandably I am realy pissed about this. I am going to get
help from MS, but I fear I will not be able to use my PC for several days.
Before I re-install windows, anyone know a solution for this issue? And can
anyone recommend another OS, where I can use most Office programs?

TIA,
Hans Brouwer

Possible Resolution:

Boot into "Safe Mode" by pressing (F8) during a reboot.

Go to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 regwizc.dll , and hit enter.
Then go again to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 licdll.dll , and hit enter again.

Apparently, and I can't say how, the above files became unregistered.

Additional Troubleshooting:

You are prompted to activate Windows every time you restart your computer

Wish I had waited a bit longer, now I have started re-installing windows with
all the work related to that... Got no support from MS for some vague reason.
Up until shortly I was a satisfied MS-user, that has changed. I am beginning
to understand why some ppl have started a crusade against MS and agressively
promote alternate OS...;-)

Tnx for your info
