Activation icon displays on already activated XP

Ben

I did a system restore on a machine with Windows XP installed and
activated on the hard disk. After the restore, the activation icon
displays in the nofication area saying I have X days left to activate.
I click it on and the resulting window says XP is already activated.
Do I really have an activated XP? Do I need to do a reinstall? Or
should I just continue ignoring the activation icon (and is there a
way to get rid of it --- I tried the "regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll" and
"regsvr32.exe licdll.dll" trick and it doesn't seem to work). Thanks.

I activated (successfully) my XP Pro last December and it still says

"Activation Pending (30 days remaing) "

for the last 6 months. I think it is just one of many bugs and
obviously just irritating and nothing to worry about
brought to you by Microsoft.

Yeah activation just pisses off the Legit buyers of XP, the people in
the know just crack it and **** Activation off :0

Oh well maybe they will junk it with Longhorn we can only hope :)
