My Acrobate PdfMaker office com ad-in is disabaled. When I highlight it
under power point options where it says it is disabled and press go at the
bottom of the page a box labled Com Add-ins with a sub title of Add-ins
avilable it appears with an unchecked box in front of it. I try to check the
box so I can tell it to ADD it in on the right but I get another box that
says "The connected state of Office Add-Ins registered in HKEY-LOCAL-MACHINE
cannot be changed." This add-in is working fine in my other Office programs
and was working last week ok in Power Point.

Thanks

With 4 versions of PowerPoint and another 4 of Acrobat still in fairly common
use, it's always a good idea to mention which you have.

From your description, this'd have to be PowerPoint 2007 but which version of
Acrobat do you have?

Have you changed your security settings? Might there have been an Acrobat,
Windows or Office update since it last worked?

I am using acrobate 8.0. It is possible that an update came in since I last
used it but since I am not sure the of the date when I last used it that is
difficult to track. It works fine in Word. I am using windows vista. I
have not changed any of my security settings.

You might try uninstalling then reinstalling Acrobat in that case.
Before doing that, read up on how you can "de-activate it" or whatever they call it,
so you can install and activate it w/o them thinking you're installing to a new
computer.
