acrobat reader

my acrobat reader does not work when i want to read pdf
files via internet. it does not open at all.
what could be the problem? how can i search if all plug-
ins work properly?

Try opening Adobe Reader, then click on link in browser to a pdf file.
I find that this works when (periodically and not consistently) Reader
doesn't launch properly.
