What is this and why doesn't it close when I shut down the computer
I can't find it on my computer...

This is the Adobe Acrobat plug-in for IE, so you can open pdf files
while browsing.
Try uninstalling Adobe Acrobat and reinstallling,
or update to a newer version of the program.
