Hey and thank you for coming in my thread.
Here's my problem:
Recently, my computer has been shuting off and restarting
for no apparent reason. At first, it was annoying, then I
got over it. Two days ago, it did the same thing and I
didnt think much of it, but when it restarted I got this
black screen that described the error and there were a few
options (Such as start windows in safe mode, safe dos
mode, safe command prompt mode, restart to last known
working, restart normally).
No matter what option I choose, it just restarts and the
same screen appears. I figured I'd reformat the
harddrive, but when I put the install disk in, it starts
setup and after the kernell.dll, i get this error that
says "the file acpi.sys is corrupted, please press any key
to restart".
Has anyone heard of this?
I use windows xp with an hp atlon 1300 mhz, 256 ram
computer. I would REALLY appreciate any tips on how to
just get thes fixed and reformat. THANK YOU!
