Hello. It's like this... I use to have my computer setup as ACPI.
But somehow it's not anymore.

If I check the HW device manager under computer, it use to say "ACPI"
computer but now it's telling me that it's a Standard PC.
So i just when it to the properties and try to change it back but..
there is only one kind of driver there and that is for a standard pc?

Using MSI Motherboard that support ACPI that i know for sure.
Windows XP Swe SP1

You can not change the HAL from "Standard PC" to "ACPI" without a
complete re-install of XP or at least a repair install. If you
attempt to change the HAL without re-installing it will very likely
cause your XP NOT to boot.

You say you use to have your computer setup as ACPI. What did you do
to change it? Did you re-install XP?

Hi. well it was like this, i updated:) humm the driver and i ended up
with a standard pc instead of the acpi. Ok i just go back to the old
driver or just instal the acpi driver again. but "does not compute..."
:) so to speak
