ACPI Error

My computer is freezing up during Flight Simulator 2004 and some other
programs, most notably SFC /Scannow.

After one incident of freeze up, after re-booting, I ran the Events Viewer,
System and it revealed 2 incidents of ACPI error. One says, "AMLI:ACPI Bios
is attempting to read from an illegal IO port address (0xcfc) which lies in
the protected Ox.... to Ox.... range.

The other says exactly the same thing except WRITE to instead of READ from.

There also is a nearby error that says, "Service Control Manager. The IPSEC
Services terminated in the following error: The authentication error is
unknown.

These errors are reported immediately after the system freeze up so I'm sure
they are related but I don't know how to interpret them nor corrective
action. Can someone in the know please help.

Thank you very much!

I'd say visit your computer manufacturers support pages and see if they have
an updated bios or updated acpi files for winXP .
