I don't why sometimes unable to boot up my winxp....my
error message in event viewer is show as below:

EventID: 4
Source: ACPI

%2: ACPI BIOS is attempting to read from an illegal IO
port address (%3), which lies in the %4 protected address
range. This could lead to system instability. Please
contact your system vendor for technical assistance.

Can anyone help me how to solve this problem?

Try to reset your settings in bios by pressing the delete
button probuably right when you turn your computer on.
Try to load your optimal setting and resart and see what
happens.
