I've been trying to load these locations into Xearth. Given the many
viewpoints and the clumping of locations, I haven't figured a way to
make the output look neat.

I have a pre-release version of Xearth that does not use the registry
and allows the user to set the font colors for anyone who wants to try
it:

I'm still documenting and trying to find any bugs I've missed. The
source code and documentation are incomplete now. Any feedback, bugs
or suggestions will be appreciated.

Off on a slight tangent. . .

You could table the information on a web page: name, location, latitude,
and longitude - sort the table to see who lives at the same latitude or
longitude - although perhaps half-way around the world.
