Acessing computers over the network

Hea,

I was able to fix my problem, I decided to compare the security
policies on my desktop to my tablet and make the ones on my tablet= to
my desktop ones, and it did it.

Thanks for all the help with everything,

Dan

p.s

I don't know if this means anything, but prior to changing the
polices on my tablet to be like my desktop there were three on my
desktop which said "not applicable", but on my tablet I could
enable/disable.

P.S.S

It also could have been that I found I had disabled the firewall
service, but after my computers connected I disabled it again and
everything still works.

If you are using a peer-to-peer workgroup, then you need to ensure that each
computer in that workgroup has the exact same user set up, with EXACTLY the
same user name, EXACTLY the same password, and EXACTLY the same access
rights. In addition, you may need to ensure that the XP Home machine has the
guest account enabled.

the home computers don't have the same user name, is there any thing i
can do to connect them without haveing to make new users? If i was to
make hidden users (which can olny acess the computer via the network)
on the pro computers would that work?

Thanks,

Dan

I think it's something to do with the Guest Account in Home edition. I'm
afraid that's all I know - see if the Guest Account on the Home edition
machine is enabled, and try enabling it on the Pro machines.
