Accounts lockouted when Password Policy applied

I know when you apply an account policy that will force a
password change after 30 days all accounts that are
already over the 30 days will be locked out. If I set the
users password to never expire will this protect the
account from being locked out?

A user with his account configured to have a password never expire will not be
subject to any password policy as far as password age is concerned. Of course it can
still be locked out from bad logon attempts if lockout policy is in force. --- Steve
