Password and Account Lockout Policies

Im trying to set Password and Account Lockout Policies on computers on my
network. These pcs aren't in a domain, therefore i have to set this info
locally. To deploy these policies, I am using an application that creates
"RIPs". A RIP is where a pc is scan once, then changes are made on the pc;
and the pc is scan once again to see the differences. These differences are
bundled together to create a package. Then through this the same application
i create this through, i deploy it through the network. Here's my problem: im
making these changes for the package via a local GPO and there not being
reconized. I would like to make these changes now through the regestry
setting. I can't find info for where these keys are. Does anyone have info on
changing Password and Account Lockout Policies through the registy.

Thanks

Your best bet may be to use security templates that implement your
password/account policy. You can import the security template manually or
use secedit in a batch file to do it. Use the mmc snapin for security
templates to see, create, and manage security templates. If the security
template does use a registry setting you will se the setting when you view
the security template [.inf file] with notepad. Registry changes can also be
tracked down with a registry snapshot program like the free Regshot where
you make a snapshot of the registry, do your change, make another snapshot,
and then compare the results. --- Steve
