On our systems we would like to have the administrators
account as the only (admin/power user) account, and 1
limited account (user).

When I go into "user accounts" and select user and then
try and change the account type to limited (from
administrator) it says that "you must assign another user
on this computer with a computer administrator account
before you can change this user account type. This
enusres that there is always at least one user with a
computer administrator account on this computer" but the
Administrator account is an administrator account.

Is there any way around this????

Thank-you in advance

Cheers

Hi

The Administrator Account cannot be changed - and shouldn't be used for various reasons. You can create a Limited Account for yourself, but you won't be able to much thereafter. You will have to create a new Account for yourself with Administrator privileges.

Thak-you for your quick response.
