Hi,

I have the following two problems on a Win2000 Server network, running mixed
clients 95, 98, ME, 2000 prof & XP pro.

1. Certain users accounts keep getting locked out on the 2000 DC ( even
after i have disabled the group policy connected to account lockouts ).
2. Each user has a mapped network to a home directory on the 2000 server on
certain machines when the user clicks on the mapped drive they are advised
that the drive in not available, but shelling to cmd prompt and executing
the net use \\server\usershare reconnects the share.

Any advise would be appreciated

Hi Russ..
I'm going to guess that most of your problems are with
the 9x machines.. I've had this same issue in the past,
and it seemed that it always happend when the user was
away from their pc for a certain amount of time and when
they returned it was locked..

What I found: I checked the Power Saving options under
Display Options | Screensavers | Power Settings and set
the Hard Disk shutdown to NEVER as well as the others..
The monitor of course really doesn't matter, but chaning
the hard disk shutdown time, fixed the problem for me!
good luck!
