Accessories & Utilities

Hi, I was hoping somebody could help me with a bit of a
problem that I'm having. I was cleaning up my computer
today using the Disk Cleanup program and under Add/Remove
Windows Components, I accidentally removed all my
accessories and utilities. I tried to get it back by
just adding it again, so it asked me to insert my Windows
Home XP Edition CD-Rom. I have the Windows Office XP
version for Students and Teachers so I just put in that
disk, but it wouldn't work. Can somebody tell me what I
have to do to get back all those programs? Thanks!

So windows asks you to insert your Windows Home XP Edition CD-Rom and you
insert the Office XP CD-Rom instead and you wonder why it didn't work?

Disk cleanup will not remove programs, unless you select the
more options and click a few more buttons. You might try
system restore to before you did the deed.

Otherwise you need the Windows XP Home CD, not the Office
CD.
