Accessing the Internet

I have a newer P4 running XP home. It seems to operate fine, except for
accessing certain websites, most specifically the web-based email site for my
cable provider. Everytime I go to that page, it takes forever to open mail,
send mail, or reply. It eventually goes, but it can take 3-4 minutes. There
are a few other wites that act the same. I have run Adaware, Spybot and
Microsoft antispyware; all show no infections. I also have Norton antivirus
2005 on the PC and that shows no viruses on after each scan. We have another
PC in the house sharing the same internet connection and that runs fine, and
has no trouble on the same sites. What could be causing this?

Thanks.

If you use DSL and have 2 modems, call your ISP and inform them you think you
need to reset one of your modems (unplug for 10 seconds). After that there
are a few commands to run and you should be back in business.
