How do you access shared files on a computer running W2k
from a machine running W98. When you go to network
neighborhood It brings up the window for the resource is
\\computer name\ipc$ then a place for the password. but
when you put in the administrator password you still
cannot connect.

in control pannel of win 98 click on users and add the
user "administrator" reboot the pc. when the pc comes up
be sure that you type in administrator on the 98 logon and
the password. then when you go to access the files on
win2k you shoudl have no problem.

or determine what win98 is loging in as then add that user
to the win2k machine using local users and groups setting
in win2k manager

Thank you. Is that information listed anywhere on the
microsoft website, in a book, or did you just know?
