Accessing files on remote computer over dial-up

Ken

I am trying to access files over a dial up connection on
two computers running XP Home. I have set up an incoming
connection on one and a dial up connection on the
other....this part works. But after the computers
connect (I get the icon in the notification area saying
they are connected), I cannot "see" the other computer to
access files. I assume I'm missing something relatively
simple in my setup. Can Anyone help?

Thanks

I use the \\computernam\sharedname but I get "...network path not found" message.
The workgroup name on both PCs is MSHOME. I can access that name on the calling PC but on the called PC, I get "Mshome is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource...The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available." I don't know why.

Ken,

Can you connect to them via \\name or \\ip ?
