Accessing email through a proxy

The LAN I am on has a proxy server. I put in the
appropriate settings in Internet Explorer and can access
the internet, but can't get Outlook to access my POP
server. How do I get Outlook 2000 to recognize that I
need to access the server through a proxy?

Your proxy server may not pass the POP protocol. Talk to your network
administrator.
