Accessing email from different profiles

We just bought a PC running Vista. I set up a family email account while
signed in under my profile (administrator). When my wife signs in under her
standard profile, she cannot access this email account. This forces her to
log off and then sign in as me. How can I change this so we can both access
the common email account while logged on under our respective profiles?

Tools | Accounts
Select the account and click Properties. On the Advanced tab check the box
to leave a copy on the server and the box below it.

This assumes that the mail account has been set up in both Windows Users.

I Have the same problem as Kirk.
I set up my wife as an windows mail "user" with Properties - Security tab
then added to list. When she tries to send or receive mail she gets the
following error:

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: 'mail.com', Server: 'mail.com', Protocol: POP3, Port:
110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

Any suggestions?

As far as I can tell, mail.com offers only a web-based mail connection.
Windows Mail cannot connect to such connections. You may want to
download and install Windows Live Mail, which can:

http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

You wouldn't be using a POP3 connection method then, though.

The web-based accounts that Windows Live Mail handles are
limited to Microsoft domains (Hotmail, MSN, Live.com).
It will not accommodate Mail.com.
