Accessing contacts freezes computer

No we haven't installed SP3. I access my contacts by the
link on the left of outlook with the picture of the
rolodex. I'm the only computer in the office doing it too
but nothing has changed to any of the computers.

Not a known issue, then. Is this just a screen freeze or do you get some
error messages? How do you terminate the app?

No it freezes my whole computer, I misspoke in my original
post. I had to shut down my computer by holding in the
power button. No error messages, just froze.

Very odd. Screen freezes often involve the video driver. Have you tried
updating it? The other thing you might do is try starting Outlook once with
the /cleanviews command line switch to make sure you don't have a corrupted
view. This switch (and a few other really helpful ones) are discussed here:

Hey everyone. Everytime I try to access my contacts in
Outlook 2000 my contacts freeze. This problem wasn't
occuring before the weekend and my computer wasn't
touched
since I left on Thursday. Thanks for the help in advance.
