Accessing Address Book in Windows Fax

N

Neil Turkenkopf

Hi folks!

(WinXP Pro + WindowsLiveMail)

I have been using the Fax program built into XP for years with no problem.
When I want to send one, the little Wizards appear and handle everything for
me - including access to my Address Book. Up until very recently, I was
using Outlook Express as my default Email program, and it was that Address
Book which opened up to allow me to select my recipients.

I have added/removed/changed several Contacts on my list since "upgrading"
to Windows Live Mail, but the original OE Address Book still comes up
whenever I need to Fax! How do I change that so it points to the new WLM
Address Book instead? (and where is it located, anyway?)

Thanks in advance!

State what is configured as the default Contacts Manager for your operating
system.

Hi Russ!

Thanks for trying to help!
I'm really not sure where to look for that.
What is "Contacts Manager" and where would I find it?

Ahh, I never thought of looking there - thanks!
The dropdown box was blank, and the only choice available was "Address Book"
so I selected it.

I still don't see any difference though when I select someone to Fax - it's
the same list as in OE.

Then you have an OE/Windows Live Mail issue, not a fax issue. If updating to
Window Live Mail disabled your address book, they need to straighten that
out if you can provide them exact steps to repro and it can be confirmed.
