accessing address bar

how can i click into the address bar? i can see the
different addresses when i browse but when i try to click
on the bar to go to specific sight nothing happens. and
can you tell me how to move it from the bottom of the
screen to the top. the dell xp is only a week old and i
can't find any info from dells web sites that came with
the program or from any of your help topics. thanks

Which address bar, where? Internet Explorer? A toolbar added to the
taskbar?

To display the toolbar in the browser, right click on the toolbar area and
uncheck "Lock the Toolbars." Then add Address by selecting, View>
Toolbars>Address.
