accessing a lost user account

since installing a wireless USB to untether my desktop computer, i've lost
the welcome screen and fast switch user option. this is ok, i understand it
can sometimes happen, but now when we type in our user account name to the
log in box (we have five user acccounts) some of them don't work. 1 user name
brings up an account identical to another user name, a different user name
brings up the user account that the other should bring up and one account
cannot be brought up eg:
account name A brings up account A
account name B brings up account A
account name C brings up account B
and account C cannot be accessed.

if you go to My Computer once logged into another user, all the documents
for account C are there under account C. in the control panel you can alter
the settings as usual, everything, but the account just is not accessible.
there are things like personal itunes and things we need to access. is there
any way i can fix this? I'm not incredibly well up on computers, simple
instruction is best for me!

i already tried a few tiimes, when i go to change the way users logon/off, i
can't change it, a message comes up to tell me a recently installed program
disabled the welcome screen and fast user switch. i apparently have to
uninstall it to be able to change. this was why i assumed the usb had
disabled them. it says the program is RtlGina2.dll, and when i found that it
was in the system files and i can't uninstall it, it won't let me access it.
am i assuming right about the wireless usb or is this something else? any
help appreciated!
