access to internet explorer

I have the same problem that has been posted by a few
others. When I use the icon to access internet explorer,
I get an error message, internet explorer has encountered
a problem and needs to close. Before this started, I had
received a message about something being locked so I am
not sure what happened.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
