I have a small home network with a simple shared database that 3 pcs can
access. We all have admin rights. Suddenly today if pc 1 & 2 are using the
database pc 3 cant access it. Pc 3 can access the database as long as pc 1 &
2 aren't using it.

Can someone help me please??

Make sure that all users have a minimum of Read, Write and eXecute
permissions on the folder where the database exists. (Usually you also want
to grant them Delete permission as well)

Thank you

Yes folder permissions are set for read, write, execute & delete. Still
have the same problem as before. Anything else you could suggest for me
please??

perhaps, can you tell me how I can check this? I am not very sure of what is
needed to do this.

How is the database being opened from PC3? If via a shortcut, check the
shortcut to make sure /excl hasn't been included as a parameter.

If it's being opened from within Access using File | Open Database, make
sure the Exclusive checkbox isn't checked.

As well, look on the Advanced tab under Tools | Options.
