Access 2007 Trusted Sites

We created a simple four cell in database in Access 2003 that will be used
by over 300 users. Access 2007 is set up for a "Trusted Location" default on
C:\program files\microsoft\office\office12\ACCWIZ. The database is in one of
our network share drives. Users with Access 2007 cannot run the database
because it is not in a trusted location. At this point we have to go to each
individual pc and add another "Trusted Location" with the path to the nerwork
share drive and file folder. Is there any way we can install Access 2007
with the location of the database as a trusted location? Otherwise we will
have to make this change machine by machine. Thanks.

Thanlks

Ace,

Are you saying the UNsplit, single, front end is being used by everyone on
the network? Not good... The database should be split and each users front
end should be on their local drive and then Trust that Location.

Yes the single front end will be used by everybody until I can figure out
how to split it. . It is a four cell db with a few queries. In a previous
message two posters referred me to this link:
http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/splitapp/. Read relevant pages but don't yet
understand it. Can yoiu tell me how to deal with the "Trusted Site" part and
i'll reread the website. We can't manually install the trusted site opart
over 300 times.

until I can figure out
how to split it.

Tools... Database Utilities... Database Splitter Wizard.

DO IT NOW before you start using it over the network, or your database is at
serious risk!

OK I'll do it. , but it will be helpful if somebody answers the original
question - how do I set up access for three hundred users w/o establishing a
"trusted site"" on each PC?

Thanks

I have not had the need to do so myself, but others have recommended setting
up a Group Policy.
